Terms of Service

THE KABUKU Inc.
Note: The Japanese version of these Terms of Service is the official and binding version. This English translation is provided for reference purposes only. In case of any discrepancy between the Japanese and English versions, the Japanese version shall prevail.
Article 1 (General Provisions)
These Terms govern the use of "Sushi Matcha" (the "Service") operated by THE KABUKU Inc. (the "Company").
Users ("Customers") agree to these Terms when using the Service.
These Terms apply to reservations made through our website and third-party platforms (Klook, Viator, GetYourGuide, etc.). For OTA platform bookings, that platform's terms may take precedence.
Article 2 (Service Description)
The Service provides cultural experience programs in Asakusa, Taito-ku, Tokyo, including:
(1) Sushi making experience
(2) Matcha (tea ceremony) experience
(3) Kagami-biraki (sake barrel opening) experience
Programs are approximately 90 minutes but may vary based on group size and circumstances.
The Company may change program content, methods, and duration without prior notice.
Kagami-biraki includes sake. Alcohol service to persons under 20 is prohibited by law.
Article 3 (Reservations and Contract Formation)
Customers may book through our website or OTA platforms.
For website bookings, the contract is formed when we send a confirmation email.
For OTA bookings, the contract follows that platform's procedures.
Customers must provide accurate information (name, contact, group size, allergies, etc.). We are not liable for damages from false or inaccurate information.
Article 4 (Fees and Payment)
Fees are as displayed on our website or OTA platforms (tax included).
Payment methods depend on the booking channel.
Fees include ingredients and equipment used in the program.
Fees may be revised with prior notice. Pre-existing bookings use the original price.
Article 5 (Cancellation and Changes)
Website booking cancellation policy:
(1) Cancellation 24+ hours before: Full refund
(2) Cancellation within 24 hours: No refund
(3) No-show: No refund
OTA bookings follow that platform's cancellation policy.
Date/time changes require 24-hour notice, subject to availability.
Force majeure cancellations (disasters, pandemics) result in full refunds.
Company-initiated cancellations result in full refunds with prompt notice.
Article 6 (Participation Rules)
Arrive at the scheduled time. Delays over 15 minutes may result in denial of participation (treated as no-show, no refund).
Report food allergies and dietary restrictions at least 48 hours before. We are not liable for unreported allergies.
Follow staff instructions and hygiene rules (hand washing, sanitizing, wearing aprons).
Customers with illness symptoms (fever, vomiting, diarrhea) may be denied participation for safety.
Prohibited activities:
(1) Harassment, verbal abuse, or violence toward customers or staff
(2) Intentional damage to facilities or equipment
(3) Unauthorized items or food/drink
(4) Other inappropriate behavior
Violation may result in termination and removal without refund.
Article 7 (Photography and Video)
Customers may take photos/videos for personal records. Please get consent before photographing other customers.
The Company may photograph/video for promotional purposes.
Company media may be used on our website, social media, and advertisements. Inform staff before the session if you do not wish to be photographed.
Article 8 (Disclaimer)
We prioritize customer safety but, except for willful misconduct or gross negligence, are not liable for:
(1) Allergic reactions not reported by the deadline in Article 6.2
(2) Injuries due to customer negligence (knife handling, etc.)
(3) Loss, theft, or damage of personal belongings
We make reasonable efforts for website accuracy but do not guarantee it.
We are not liable for service interruptions due to communication or system failures.
Our liability is limited to the amount paid, except for willful misconduct or gross negligence.
Article 9 (Intellectual Property)
All website content (text, images, logos, videos) belongs to the Company or rightful owners.
Reproduction, redistribution, modification, or commercial use without written consent is prohibited.
Article 10 (Personal Information)
We handle personal information according to our Privacy Policy.
Personal information is used for service provision, communication, and service improvement.
Article 11 (Exclusion of Anti-Social Forces)
Customers represent they are not members of organized crime groups or related parties.
If discovered, we may terminate the contract and refuse service without notice.
Article 12 (Changes to Terms)
We may change these Terms without prior notice.
Changes take effect upon posting to our website.
Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
Article 13 (Governing Law and Jurisdiction)
These Terms are governed by Japanese law.
Tokyo District Court has exclusive jurisdiction for disputes.
Article 14 (Language)
The Japanese version is authoritative. In case of conflict between Japanese and translated versions, Japanese prevails.
Article 15 (Severability)
If any provision is invalid or unenforceable, remaining provisions remain in effect.
Supplementary Provisions These Terms take effect on January 7, 2026.
